Appel à contributions : numéro spécial sur le pastoralisme et les pâturages de montagne

L’Agenda 2030 des Nations Unies pour le Développement Durable, la Décennie de la Restauration des Ecosystèmes (2021-2030), et la proposition d’une Année Internationale des Pâturages et des Eleveurs qui sera célébrée en 2026, soulignent tous l’importance des systèmes pastoraux et la nécessité de trouver des solutions basées sur la connaissance pour lutter contre la dégradation et la pauvreté croissantes de ces systèmes. À cette fin, la communauté scientifique, les gouvernements et les décideurs politiques devraient être conscients des interactions anciennes et actuelles des composantes sociales et écologiques des systèmes pastoraux dans les zones de montagne, ainsi que de leurs liens avec d’autres régions (par exemple, l’offre et la demande de services écosystémiques et de produits de montagne). Ils devraient également mieux comprendre les moteurs du changement dans les systèmes socio-écologiques pastoraux de montagne – en particulier le changement climatique – ainsi que les interactions entre les moteurs et leurs impacts. La dynamique pression/réaction est tout aussi pertinente, en particulier au niveau communautaire, y compris les mesures d’adaptation innovantes.

Avec ce numéro consacré au pastoralisme, Mountain Research and Development entend contribuer à une meilleure compréhension du pastoralisme et des pâturages en montagne, des facteurs affectant les systèmes socio-écologiques pastoraux, des réponses de la société, et de la manière dont des solutions innovantes peuvent aider efficacement à répondre aux changements environnementaux, socio-économiques et politiques. Cet appel à contributions invite à présenter des articles empiriques et conceptuels, des études de cas et des synthèses, sur un large éventail de sujets et d’échelles liés au pastoralisme, aux pâturages de montagne et aux paysages de haute altitude. Les contributions transdisciplinaires et multidisciplinaires portant sur les processus de transformation affectant les éleveurs et les pâturages, leurs interactions avec d’autres systèmes et les réponses que peuvent apporter les communautés locales, les décideurs politiques et les scientifiques sont les bienvenues.

La publication de ce numéro spécial est prévue pour novembre 2021. Les articles doivent être envoyés avant le 15 février 2021 en utilisant la plateforme de soumission en ligne du MRD. Vous pouvez également envoyer un court avis d’intention à mrd-journal@cde.unibe.ch, car l’équipe peut fournir des conseils si nécessaire ou sur demande. 🧊 Glaciers matter for water, food and livelihoods in mountains and beyond. This is what we are highlighting this year on 11 December, International Mountain Day.Every year, this day provides an opportunity to emphasise the crucial importance of these areas in terms of natural resources, biodiversity, identity, cultural heritage, ways of life, and more resilient models.
