Conseil des Iles Shetland, Royaume-Uni

Le Conseil des Iles Shetland est la collectivité locale la plus au nord et la deuxième plus petite en Ecosse, Royaume-Uni. Le Conseil est un employeur majeur dans les îles avec 3251 employés. Le Conseil se compose de 22 membres élus pour une population de 22.000 personnes.

Le Shetland Islands Council accueille la deuxième réunion des partenaires en Août 2012. Dans le cadre du projet, le Conseil contribue en faisant des recherches dans la région pour référencer la situation actuelle et permettre à tirer des comparaisons avec les autres régions partenaires. Suite à cela, le Conseil sera un partenaire à part entière travaillant pour améliorer les politiques locales en matière de transport durable. Les résultats de MOG sont très attendus puisque le conseil on espère que le projet permettra d’améliorer la durabilité de la mobilité sur les îles.
