Qu’est-ce que Montana174 ?

Montana174 est une grande campagne de communication destinée à vous guider, citoyens et acteurs vivant dans les montagnes européennes, à travers les nombreuses opportunités offertes par la Politique de Cohésion et à vous donner toutes les clés de réussite pour utiliser ces fonds dans les zones de montagne.

Pourquoi Montana174 ?

Les montagnes couvrent près de 29% des pays de l’UE-27 et 13% de sa population. Les régions de montagne sont sensiblement différentes de tous les autres territoires, tant en termes d’atouts que de défis. C’est pourquoi l’Union européenne a décidé qu’une « attention particulière doit être accordée aux […] régions de montagne » (article 174 du Traité sur le Fonctionnement de l’Union européenne), en finançant des projets et des programmes spécifiques dans les zones de montagne. La Politique de Cohésion est une politique européenne qui, avec la collaboration des autorités régionales, permet de rééquilibrer les inégalités territoriales et d’encourager le développement régional. Cependant, les citoyens et les acteurs de la montagne ignorent trop souvent ce que la Politique de Cohésion finance dans les zones de montagne.

🧊 Glaciers matter for water, food and livelihoods in mountains and beyond. This is what we are highlighting this year on 11 December, International Mountain Day.Every year, this day provides an opportunity to emphasise the crucial importance of these areas in terms of natural resources, biodiversity, identity, cultural heritage, ways of life, and more resilient models.
