Rejoignez Euromontana au Parlement Rural Européen 2019 pour des zones rurales montagneuses dynamiques !

Euromontana participera à l’édition 2019 du Parlement Rural Européen, organisée dans la région de montagne des Asturies, Espagne, du 6 au 9 novembre. L’événement sera l’occasion de réfléchir sur les défis communs auxquels sont confrontées les zones rurales d’Europe, mais aussi de discuter des solutions possibles. Depuis 2013, le Parlement Rural Européen est avant tout un rendez-vous incontournable pour faire prendre conscience des opportunités et de la qualité de vie offertes par les zones rurales, reculées et montagneuses tout en affirmant que « toute l’Europe doit vivre ! »

Le Parlement Rural Européen présentera diverses bonnes pratiques pour le développement des zones rurales, leur attractivité et leur durabilité, lors de différentes visites d’étude, sessions plénières et ateliers. Euromontana contribuera aux réflexions en animant l’atelier « comment gouverner intelligemment en montagne ? » Grâce à la présentation d’exemples de gouvernance innovante dans les zones de montagne et de discussions collectives, l’atelier visera à identifier des modèles de gouvernance répondant aux besoins spécifiques des zones de montagne. L’atelier sera animé par Laura Gascón Herrero, Chargée de projets européens au gouvernement provincial de Teruel et membre du Comité Directeur d’Euromontana, et Blandine Camus, Chargée de communication et de politiques chez Euromontana.

 

Le projet Horizon 2020 SIMRA – dont Euromontana est partenaire – participera également au Parlement Rural Européen en mettant en avant le potentiel de l’innovation sociale dans un atelier sur la manière de « se connecter avec les personnes difficiles à atteindre dans les zones rurales ». L’objectif sera de discuter de la manière d’atteindre les différents groupes de population rurale qui ne sont pas bien représentés au niveau européen ou qui se sentent laissés pour compte par les décideurs politiques, tels que les jeunes, les réfugiés, les communautés éloignées, les Roms, les femmes, etc. Les bonnes pratiques recueillies par SIMRA serviront de base pour réfléchir à des solutions permettant d’adapter l’élaboration des politiques de l’UE à la diversité des communautés et à leurs besoins dans les zones rurales, ainsi que pour montrer les avantages qu’il y a à établir des liens avec ces groupes ou à les impliquer pour la société dans son ensemble. Bill Slee, chercheur à l’Institut James Hutton, et Lauren Mosdale, Chargée de projets à Euromontana, tous deux impliqués dans le projet SIMRA, animeront cet atelier.

This is what we are highlighting this year on 11 December, International Mountain Day.Every year, this day provides an opportunity to emphasise the crucial importance of these areas in terms of natural resources, biodiversity, identity, cultural heritage, ways of life, and more resilient models.
