Une nouvelle base de données de bonnes pratiques sur l’adaptation au changement climatique

L’Observatoire Pyrénéen du Changement Climatique (OPCC) a créé une nouvelle base de données en ligne de bonnes pratiques en matière d’adaptation au changement climatique dans les Pyrénées. L’OPCC a pour objectif de surveiller et de comprendre le changement climatique dans les Pyrénées. La nouvelle base de données fournit un large éventail de bonnes pratiques en matière d’adaptation au changement climatique et vise à inspirer d’autres acteurs des zones de montagne dans leurs actions de conservation.

Les bonnes pratiques disponibles concernent différentes catégories thématiques allant de l’agropastoralisme et de la faune et de la flore à l’énergie et à la gestion des forêts. Afin de faciliter le ciblage des bonnes pratiques, les utilisateurs peuvent les filtrer par catégorie. Il est également possible de sélectionner un type d’impact sur le climat, tel que « la pénurie d’eau », « les températures extrêmes » ou « la dégradation de la cryosphère ». Grâce à une carte, les utilisateurs peuvent également localiser directement les initiatives les plus proches de chez eux. Que vous cherchiez de l’inspiration pour appliquer des initiatives dans votre secteur, près de chez vous ou pour répondre à un problème spécifique lié au climat, cette nouvelle base de données peut vous fournir des réponses et des exemples !

Les zones de montagne ont un potentiel important dans l’atténuation des effets du changement climatique, mais en subissent actuellement les conséquences, comme démontré dans le dernier rapport de l’OPCC « Le changement climatique dans les Pyrénées : impacts, vulnérabilités et adaptation ». Cette nouvelle base de données est donc un nouvel outil très utile pour les autorités locales et les acteurs des zones de montagne désireux de répondre aux enjeux climatiques. La plupart des bonnes pratiques disponibles dans la base de données ont été recueillies dans le cadre de projets du programme européen LIFE, d’initiatives régionales ou de plans d’action municipaux. Elles sont disponibles en anglais, français et espagnol.
