Digital Alps : partenariat avec les Bureaux de Compétence Haut débit pour élaborer une feuille de route pour la connectivité numérique dans la région alpine

Les régions montagneuses ont beaucoup à gagner de la numérisation et de la connectivité à haut débit. Il existe un grand potentiel pour les Villages Intelligents, les PME, et l’accès aux services en ligne dans les domaines de la santé, de l’éducation et bien plus encore. Les communautés de montagne sont toutefois confrontées à des obstacles plus importants que la plupart des autres régions pour devenir des acteurs à part entière de la Décennie Numérique de l’Union Européenne. Leur éloignement, en termes de distance et de topographie, ainsi que leur faible population, font qu’il est techniquement et financièrement difficile de les équiper en infrastructures haut débit.

Dans ce contexte, le Mécanisme de Soutien du Réseau Européen des Bureaux de Compétence en Haut Débit (BCO Network) a été invité à s’exprimer lors de la Conférence Digital Alps (27-28 mai 2021) sur le thème des infrastructures numériques à l’épreuve du futur pour la zone alpine, et sur la manière dont les BCO peuvent être des partenaires de grande valeur pour les régions de montagne afin de surmonter les obstacles de planification, de financement et de mise en œuvre de leurs projets d’infrastructure à haut débit.
