Ouverture de Centre pour l’économie de Montagne – CE-MONT à Vatra Dornei, Roumanie

Le 9 décembre 2015, il a été inauguré à Vatra Dornei, en Roumanie, le Centre pour l’économie de MontagCE MONT imagne CE-MONT. CE-MONT est le seul centre de recherche pour l’économie de montagne dans le Sud Est de l’Europe. Son objectif est de renforcer la capacité de recherche dans des domaines comme l’économie des zones de montagne, l’agriculture et la sécurité alimentaire. Radu Rey (Sénateur d’Euromontana) et quatre membres d’Euromontana- le Forum roumain pour la montagne,la fédération des agriculteurs de montagne « Dorna » (FAMD) et le Centre de formation et d’innovation pour le développement des Carpates (CEFIDEC) et ROMONTANA ont été impliqués dans la conception et la mise en œuvre du projet.

Le centre est situé dans la zone de montagne roumaine, dans une région réputée pour la qualité des produits laitiers et le tourisme thermal. L’investissement global de sept millions d’euros a été financé par des fonds FEDER et par le gouvernement roumain. Le centre dispose de 12 laboratoires de recherche, d’une salle de conférence de 200 places, d’une bibliothèque, d’une petite presse à imprimer, et 2 de laboratoires mobiles pour le travail sur le terrain.

L’objectif de CE-MONT est de favoriser la coopération régionale et de devenir un «pôle d’excellence» pour la région montagneuse des Carpates-Balkans.

And that's a wrap for the first Euromontana Board of Directors meeting of the year 🇮🇹 Last week, the Board members examined the development of the network and reported on ongoing activities and plans for the coming months, as well as the network's advocacy priorities! 🏔️ The day also included a tour of the Università della Montagna premises, (who are kindly hosting the meetings) and meeting with Luca Masneri, the Mayor of the Commune of Edolo. 🇮🇹 Live from Edolo were Euromontana's Board of Directors is gathering for its first meeting of the year!Yesterday, the group reached the 3,000 m to witness the impact of climate change on tourism and on the Presena glacier, explained by Consortia Pontedilegno-Tonale, and then learned about the alteration of the alpine ecosystem from Stelvio National Park and Adamello Regional Park🏔👉Fauna, flora and local communities are affected by the shorter period of snow cover, which disturbs the habitats and physiological clocks of species, as well as the availability of water, predation cycles and the cultural landscape.
