PEGASUS a été invité à un accord de subvention

Le projet PEGASUS (Biens et services écosystémiques publics liés à la gestion des terres – Déverrouiller les synergies), coordonné par l’Institut pour une politique européenne de l’environnement (IEEP) (Royaume-Uni) et où Euromontana est un partenaire, a été invité à un accord de subvention.

Ce projet Horizon 2020 développera des moyens pratiques et innovants pour rendre les concepts de biens publics et de services écosystémiques accessibles et opérationnels: il déterminera comment, où et quand les mécanismes et les outils rentables pour la politique, les affaires et la pratique peuvent être le plus efficacement appliqués, augmentant la durabilité de la production primaire.

Les zones de montagne sont un important fournisseur de ces biens publics et nous croyons fermement que ce projet PEGASUS sera d’un grand intérêt pour tous les membres d’Euromontana. C’est une bonne opportunité de travailler plus sur ce sujet, après la conférence d’Euromontana à Arantzazu en 2009. Le projet devrait commencer en 2015.

Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
