Prix Charlemagne pour la jeunesse 2014 : encourager le développement de l’Europe par les jeunes

Chaque année, le Prix Charlemagne pour la jeunesse européenne est attribué à des projets réalisés par des jeunes, qui renforcent la compréhension et encouragent le développement d’un sentiment partagé de l’identité européenne et offrent des exemples pratiques d’Européens vivant ensemble au sein d’une même communauté.

Le but du prix, qui est décerné conjointement par le Parlement européen et par la Fondation du prix international Charlemagne d’Aix-la-Chapelle, est d’encourager le développement d’une conscience européenne parmi les jeunes et de renforcer leur participation dans les projets en lien avec l’intégration européenne.

Le premier prix est de 5 000 euros, le deuxième de 3 000 euros et le troisième de 2 000 euros. De plus, les représentants des vingt-huit projets nationaux gagnants seront invités à un voyage de quatre jours à Aix-la-Chapelle (Allemagne).

Les propositions de projets peuvent être déposées jusqu’au 10 février 2014.

Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
