Quel soutien européen au haut débit dans les régions de montagne

Les zones de montagne souffrent d’une faible connectivité
Le dernier indice de l’économie et de la société numériques, connu sous le nom de DESI, montre que la connectivité rurale augmente, mais est encore bien inférieure à l’accès européen moyen qui s’établit à 76% des ménages. Cela est à comparer aux 40% des ménages connectés dans les zones rurales. Il n’y a pas de données spécifiques pour les zones de montagne, mais dans de nombreux cas, ces zones cumulent les difficultés d’éloignement, de faible densité de population et des terrains difficiles pour le déploiement du haut débit.
La nouvelle infrastructure de soutien du « Broadband Competence Office » a écrit un article sur la façon dont les différents fonds européens peuvent aider à surmonter une faible connectivité. En outre, ils peuvent aider à développer des projets et donner des idées pour augmenter la connexion dans les zones de montagne. Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
