Sunna Alm : un restaurant de montagne neutre en carbone

« Sunna Alm » est un restaurant de montagne situé à Pitztal, en Autriche. Le restaurant est ouvert deux tiers de l’année et a opté pour les énergies renouvelables pour chauffer son bâtiment. Grâce à une utilisation combinée des énergies solaire et géothermique, il est le restaurant à énergie passive le plus haut de la région alpine.

La combinaison de l’énergie solaire et de la géothermie au restaurant Sunna Alm fait de ce dernier un bâtiment 100 % neutre en carbone en termes d’énergie de chauffage. La consommation d’énergie primaire est réduite de 100% ; de même, 100% des émissions de carbone liées à l’énergie sont évitées. Compte tenu des 235 jours d’ouverture annuels, le système permet d’économiser 35 000 litres de fioul par an.

Le restaurant Sunna Alm est un exemple d’infrastructure qui a innové sur la voie de la neutralité carbone. La combinaison intelligente des énergies géothermique et solaire permet des économies considérables en termes d’émissions de carbone et incite à un tourisme plus durable en montagne, même en haute altitude.

Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
