Accéder aux régions montagneuses…

… se fait souvent avec difficultés à cause de:

  • mountain-bike-55368_1280L’absence ou la qualité insatisfaisante des infrastructures locales et régionales et
  • L’offre de transport publique, souvent insuffisante et inadaptée aux besoins spécifiques des montagnards.

De plus, en tant que destination touristique importante, les montagnes souffrent du transport individuel des touristes. Or le transport contribue au changement climatique de par l’émission de CO2 qu’il produit. Il est nécessaire de protéger l’environnement dans les zones de montagne contre les impacts négatifs du transport.

En conséquence il faut trouver des solutions durables pour à la fois garantir que la population en montagne puisse profiter d’un système de transport effectif, de bonne qualité et avec des impacts négatifs réduits. Des solutions existent déjà dans les montagnes européennes et il est nécessaire d’échanger d’avantage les expériences pour que ces bonnes pratiques puissent être mises en œuvre aussi dans les autres régions.

Nos actions

streetEuromontana a commencé à s’intéresser particulièrement à la question de la mobilité à partir de 2010, année où le travail préparatif du document de position sur les services d’intérêt général a démarré. Cette position est disponible sur la page thématique des services d’intérêt général.

En décembre 2010, Euromontana a participé à l’atelier scientifique sur la mobilité et le transport en montagne (SWOMM – Scientific workshop on mountain mobility and transport) pour souligner l’importance du développement de solutions durables pour protéger l’environnement.

En avril 2014, Euromontana a participé à une audition publique organisée par le Comité des Régions sur la « Mobilité dans des régions qui ont des difficultés géographiques et démographiques » pour montrer les difficultés mais aussi les bonnes pratiques existantes dans les montagnes.

En 2020, Euromontana a contribué à la consultation publique visant à élaborer la nouvelle Stratégie de l’UE pour une Mobilité Durable et Intelligente afin de réaffirmer la nécessité de développer des alternatives de transport durable dans les zones rurales et de prendre en compte les spécificités des régions montagneuses, éloignées et peu peuplées. Euromontana a également fait des recommandations pour rendre l’Année Européenne du Rail de 2021 pleinement efficace en abordant les difficultés des transports ferroviaires dans les zones de montagne. Projets

Euromontana est l’un des partenaires du projet « Move On Green – Improving Sustainable transport in rural areas» (MOG) élaboré sous la coordination de la Province de Teruel en Espagne. Les objectifs de ce projet Interreg IV C (2012-2014) sont les suivants:

  • la mise en place de solutions de transport durables, « vertes » en montagne et dans les zones rurales faiblement peuplées.
  • l’amélioration de la conception et de l’efficacité des politiques régionales sur le transport durable dans les zones rurales et de montagne

Dans le cadre de ce projet,  des lignes directrices pour la mobilité durable dans les zones rurales et de montagne ont été élaborées pour les décideurs politiques.

La rupture numérique …

… trop souvent en zone de montagne, l’offre de haut-débit est insuffisante voire inexistante. Le défi est donc de mettre en œuvre des solutions innovantes pour que la population et les entreprises de montagne puissent profiter des mêmes avantages que celles situées en zones de plaine/urbaines.

Nos actions

connection_ICTEuromontana a commencé à travaillé sur la question des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (TIC) et à la fracture numérique en 2011, lorsque la collaboration avec le forum numérique européen pour les TIC dans les montagnes (EMICT – FORUM) a été lancée.

En même temps, Euromontana a commencé à développé des relations stratégiques avec le projet INTERRG IV B CyberSUDOE. Ce projet vise à promouvoir la compétitivité des PME à travers l’usage des TIC. Plus d’informations et un guide des bonnes pratiques est disponible sur la page web du projet.

Euromontana s’est engagé à soutenir le développement du très haut débit dans les zones rurales en signant le Manifeste pour le Très Haut Débit dans les Zones Rurales en 2014.

Euromontana participe au projet INTERREG IVC qui a démarré début 2012:

  • DANTE – « Digital agenda for new tourism approach in European rural and mountain regions », qui vise l’échange de bonnes pratiques sur l’utilisation des NTIC pour le tourisme dans les zones rurales et de montagne
