La stratégie de mobilité quotidienne à faible émission de carbone de Sankt Veit

Sankt Veit im Pongau, en Autriche, est un village qui compte environ 3 700 habitants. Afin de réduire la dépendance à la voiture dans la région et de décongestionner les routes, les acteurs régionaux ont conçu et mis en œuvre une stratégie de transport à faible émission de carbone sur mesure, ciblant la mobilité quotidienne des travailleurs.

Dans la région de Pongau, la plupart des gens ont l’habitude d’utiliser leur voiture privée pour leurs déplacements quotidiens. L’hôpital public de Sankt Veit im Pongau est un employeur important dans la région de Pongau, avec environ 340 employés. Des offres de transport public existent dans la région mais ne sont pas toujours bien reliées et le fort dénivelé positif n’encourage pas la mobilité active, comme le vélo pour se rendre au travail.

Développé dans le cadre du projet Espace Alpin ASTUS, le plan d’action de mobilité de Sankt Veit vise à encourage une mobilité plus durable et abordable pour les trajets quotidiens.

Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
