From 9th to 12th October 2017, the Committee of the Regions will host the annual European Week for Regions & Cities. The event will gather officials from regions and cities’ administrations, as well as experts and academics to exchange good practices and know-how in the field of regional and urban development. This year, the European Week celebrates its 15th birthday.

Under the main headline of ‘Regions and Cities working for a better future’, the event will focus on three sub-themes:

  • Building resilient regions and cities – #LocalResilience
  • Regions and cities as change agents – #TakeAction
  • Sharing knowledge to deliver results – #SharingKnowledge

The European Week for Regions and Cities is an acknowledged platform for political communication in relation to the development of EU Cohesion Policy, raising the awareness of decision-makers about the fact that regions and cities matter in EU policy-making.
