Our members CREAF and UNIMONT co-organise a series of seminars dedicated to climate change and biodiversity in mountain areas.
Bernat Claramunt, visiting professor, will be leading these seminars both in presence from Edolo (Lombardy, Italy) and online. Mr Claramunt is researcher at CREAF – Centre for Research on Ecology and Forestry Applications and Professor of Ecology at the Department of Plant Biology, Animal Biology and Ecology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is CREAF representative in Euromontana, and the coordinator of the Network for European Mountain Research (NEMOR).
On the 26th, the seminar will focus on the effects of climate change on mountain ecosystem. The next day, discussions will discuss field activities focusing on the effects of climate change on plant and animal biodiversity in the Alpine environment. On the last day, 28th of October, Bernat Claramunt will focus on ecological networks for the management of biodiversity in mountain areas.
