Euromontana was at the EUSALP Annual forum

The Director of Euromontana, Marie Clotteau, was invited to participate in the workshop “The Alps: a unique laboratory for sustainable development models” that took place on 29th November 2019 within the EUSALP Annual Forum.

She presented a state-of-the-art of the governance in place in EU countries to manage mountain territories such as a step-by-step factsheet for Managing Authorities to better include mountain areas in the next programming period.

This workshop was followed by a position paper on how to envisage more sustainable development models in our mountains. Some ideas to further explore were to review and develop innovative changes in the mountain legislation such as to focus on the management and protection of natural resources.
