Pour la première fois, le centre de recherche Eurac (Eurac Research) promeut un congrès international consacré exclusivement au thème de l’agritourisme. Le but de l’initiative est de discuter de l’état de l’art et des perspectives d’avenir de ce type de tourisme rural dans le monde entier ; d’établir une définition commune de l’agritourisme ; de construire une plateforme de mise en réseau pour les scientifiques et les praticiens ; et enfin, de promouvoir sans ambiguïté l’agritourisme en tant que type spécifique de tourisme rural.

L’agritourisme offre aux agriculteurs la possibilité de diversifier et de générer des revenus supplémentaires par le biais d’activités touristiques à la ferme afin de compléter leurs faibles revenus agricoles. Cela aide à maintenir la viabilité des fermes actives et des communautés rurales. La compréhension plus générale de l’agritourisme indique que les activités agritouristiques soutiennent et promeuvent les ressources agricoles, les traditions et la culture. En suivant cette ligne de pensée, l’agritourisme est un exemple réussi de tourisme durable qui a gagné en importance au fil des ans.

Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
