On 19th September 2014, the Community of Communes of Luchon, in the Pyrenees (France), is organising a Conference on Agriculture and rural areas.

Luchon and its surrounding region is characterised by important rural activities, which are an asset for economic development, mainly through tourism. But this sector of activity is threatened by several reasons, such as ageing population or a not appropriate property management.

Thus, the objective of this event is to establish a rural and agricultural local project and to raise awareness on the European rural programmes that can help local stakeholders to address these issues: the impact of the new CAP for mountain areas will be presented in the afternoon.
