The Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia (CAFS), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of Slovenia (MAFF) organise on 28 and 29 November a conference on agriculture in areas facing natural constraints. The event is organised in collaboration with the EIP-AGRI.

The conference will address different topics related to mountain agriculture, such as grassland preservation, wild animal predation, the new Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027 or the impact of natural constraints of mountains in the use of funds from public tenders.

Blandine Camus, Communication & Policy Officer at Euromontana, will explain how European policies impact mountain farming. Dr. Andreja Borec, from the University of Maribor, Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, member of Euromontana, will intervene to specify the characteristics and policies related to mountain agriculture.
