Euromontana vous invite à son webinaire “Montagnes intelligentes : comment les réserves de biosphère peuvent-elles contribuer au Green Deal”, qui aura lieu le 14 janvier 2021, de 14h à 15h45. Ce webinaire, co-organisé par Euromontana, le Perth College – Université des Highlands et des Îles et le programme de l’UNESCO sur l’Homme et la biosphère, explorera comment les réserves naturelles de montagne peuvent contribuer au développement durable, à la Stratégie De la ferme à la table et à la conservation de la biodiversité.

Contexte

Euromontana organisera ses XIIème Assises Européennes de la Montagne sur le thème “Montagnes intelligentes : comment rendre nos territoires attractifs et tournés vers l’avenir” dans le Parc Naturel & la Réserve de Biosphère de l’UNESCO de Sila, en Italie, en septembre 2021. Cet événement de trois jours aura pour but de définir une stratégie durable pour le développement des montagnes intelligentes à l’horizon 2050.

En vue de cet événement, Euromontana organise une série de webinaires pour nourrir la réflexion, présenter les initiatives pertinentes et contribuer à l’analyse prospective de notre avenir collectif. Le deuxième webinaire traitera du rôle clé joué par les 254 réserves de biosphère en Europe, dont 121 en zone de montagne, dans la promotion du développement durable. Comment encouragent-elles le développement économique durable tout en préservant la biodiversité ? Comment favorisent-elles une alimentation et une agriculture durables ?

🧊 Glaciers matter for water, food and livelihoods in mountains and beyond. This is what we are highlighting this year on 11 December, International Mountain Day.Every year, this day provides an opportunity to emphasise the crucial importance of these areas in terms of natural resources, biodiversity, identity, cultural heritage, ways of life, and more resilient models.
