Workshop on mountain products in Edolo (Italy)

ERSAF has been charged by Regione Lombardia with the organization of two seminars concerning the newly Commission-approved label “Mountain Product”. The seminars will take place in the two main Alpine valleys of Lombardy: the first will be held on May 5th in Edolo, Valcamonica, and the second will be held on May 22nd in Morbegno, Valtellina, thus covering the bulk of Lombardy’s mountain population.

The aim of the seminars is to present and discuss the criticalities and opportunities of the possible new label with local stakeholders, as well as to highlight the current Italian regulation on protected labels, Lombardy’s strategy for the mountains and the South-Tyrolean experience with a local protected quality label. The seminars will also include a round table with local stakeholders to be better understand and register local expectations with regards to the possible new protected label.
