5 videos to explain how mountain stakeholders can benefit from the Cohesion Policy funds

On April 2022, Montana174 releases 5 videos to explain how local stakeholders mountain regions can benefit from the funds of the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy.

The 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy finances initiatives in mountains areas

The Cohesion Policy is the EU’s main investment policy that aims at reducing territorial disparities across Europe’s regions.  Between 2021 and 2027, about € 392 billion– almost a third of the European budget– has been set aside for the Cohesion Policy. These funds can be used to finance projects and initiatives in mountain areas in order to boost innovation, support youth and employment, foster tourism, accelerate climate adaptation and mitigation, enhance mobility.

However, mountain stakeholders are often unaware of the opportunities linked to the funds of the Cohesion Policy. To this end, Montana174 has interviewed local experts in the 5 mountain regions of the project to ask them how mountain stakeholders can access from these funds and what are the benefits for them.

As result, Montana174 partners released 5 short videos with the views of regional Managing Authorities and local experts from Aragon Region (Spain), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region (France), Croatia, Lombardy Region (Italy) and Slovenia.

Moreover, in between April and July 2022, Montana174 partners will organise local workshops to prepare mountain stakeholders to uptake the funds of the Cohesion Policy. Further information will be made available in the website.
