Kohesio: a platform to learn about the Cohesion Policy results in your region

The European Commission launched the Kohesio platform. This platform provides a snapshot on more than 1,5 million of projects financed in the European Union via the funds of the Cohesion Policy, including in mountain areas of Europe.

Cohesion Forum: A targeted event to discuss about territorial cohesion across Europe

On 17th and 18th March 2022, more than 2,000 representatives of European institutions, authorities, social and economic partners, non-governmental organisations and academia met in Brussels to speak about territorial, social and economic cohesion, as part of the Cohesion Forum.

Held annually, this event is a key occasion to discuss about the achievements of the Cohesion Policy across Europe, as well as to reflect on future opportunities and ways to develop it. During this event, the European Commission presented the 8th Cohesion Report, summarising the achievement of the Cohesion Policy over the last decade, and the Kohesio platform.

Kohesio: A platform to discover the achievements of the Cohesion Policy

Kohesio is an open and free access platform managed by the European Commission that gathers 1,5 million of projects financed in the European Union via the funds of the Cohesion Policy since 2014. “With only a few clicks anyone can discover exactly how the EU invests in our regions and cities to foster convergence and economic, social and territorial cohesion”, states the European Commissioner Elisa Ferreira.

By using the keyword “mountain”, you can learn about what projects the Cohesion Policy financed in mountain areas. Listed projects range across different themes: from the adaptation of mountain forests to climate change in Poland, the development of tourism attractiveness in the Alpine lakes (Italy), to a thematic research centre on mountain ecosystem services, deep learning and artificial intelligence in Spain.

You can also discover the projects funded in each region or in each thematic priority. Similar tools are highly welcomed as they allow more citizens to understand how the Cohesion Policy impact them in the place where they live.
