Let us know about the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy in your mountain areas!

Most of European countries are about to finalise the Operational Programmes to distribute the funds of the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy. What will the 2021-2027 Operational Programmes focus on in your country? Will they include specific measures for mountain areas? Which ones? In the framework of the Montana174 project, Euromontana is launching an open call to investigate how the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy will address the needs of mountainous areas.

What is Montana174?

Montana174 is a 1-year communication campaign funded by the European Commission – DG REGIO and coordinated by Euromontana. This campaign aims to raise awareness and increase knowledge on how the Cohesion Policy impact the daily life of mountain citizens.

How will the new Cohesion Policy meet the needs of mountains?

Montana174 will create 5 educational factsheets to present how regional and national authorities will channel the funds of the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy to meet the needs of mountain areas.

In particular, these educational factsheets will illustrate some specific measures for mountain areas in the Operational Programmes, in relation to 5 focus areas:

  • Social and digital Innovation
  • Climate change mitigation and adaptation
  • Tourism
  • Youth and Employment
  • Mobility

What do we look for?

Montana174 is seeking to gather information about the specific actions and measures for mountain areas in the Operational Programmes of the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy, especially those related to one of these 5 thematic focus.

Do you want to contribute to showcase how the Cohesion Policy meets the needs of mountain territories in your region? So do not hesitate to take 5 minutes to share your info with us by filling in this form!

For more information about Montana174, you can contact Carla Lostrangio, Project Manager at Euromontana (carla.lostrangio@euromontana.org).
