Develop VSBs/SMEs competitivity in South-West Europe through the use of ICT
Very small businesses (VSB)/ small and medium size enterprises (SME) of SUDOE (South-Eastern Europe) are lacking behind when it comes to the use of new technologies, in comparison to the north of Europe or the United States. This delay results in a reduced competitiveness and a relatively weaker position of these enterprises. Therefore, it is important to identify best practices in order to raise VSBs’/SMEs’ awareness and to quickly strengthen the structures supporting VSBs/SMEs by implementing a network of excellence.
The objective of the programme CyberSUDOE (Interreg IV B) is to initiate and animate an interregional network composed of nine partners from France, Spain and Portugal.
Since 2009, the partners of the project worked on the implementation of methodological tools directed towards enterprises in order to develop their use of computer technologies, the internet and digital technologies.
Every partner developed guides, diagnostics and videos on a precise topic:
- E-commerce,
- Economic monitoring and intelligence
- Dematerialisation of exchanges,
- ICTs and management of human resources,
- ICTs and management,
- ICTs supporting transport and logistics,
- ICTs supporting the handcraft sector,
- ICTs supporting agro-food services,
- ICTs supporting the tourism sector.
These tools are accessible in the section “resources” on the webpage of CyberSUDOE.
In the course of the project several good practices were identified. Among them a selection of initiatives that are transferable to mountain areas has been made. This practices can be accessed here:
The final conference of CyberSUDOE took place on 16th November 2011. The conference was webstreamed and can still be watched following this link.
