Can UE CAP it?, a e-learning platform about the Common Agricultural Policy

“CAP Platform” is a unique e-learning platform where all European citizens can engage in learning and discussing the oldest European policy: the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). At any time, in their own way. At the heart of the platform is the website www.caneucapit.eu consisting of five parts:

CAP Game is a fun way to learn about the Common Agricultural Policy. In addition you have the opportunity to join the EU wide competitions for individuals or whole school classes until March 1st 2015 and win a fully funded three day trip to Rome!

CAP Basic is a series of 4 videos that will give you a visual overview of the main topics of the Common Agricultural Policy. Learn your CAP basics in a series of 10 minute videos.

CAP Events is a series of 4 events organized across Europe. Next stop is Salon d’Agriculture in Paris! Please, go to the website to find out more.

CAP Pro is a comprehensive e-learning course on the Common Agricultural Policy. The course can be followed in any order, at any time and at your own pace. A certificate will be issued for those that successfully complete the whole course. Substantial discount now available until March 1, 2015.

CAP Forums is a free space where everybody can share their opinions and experiences of the CAP and the learning platform, provide feedback and discuss with experts and other participants.

Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
