Le vieillissement de la population dans la société européenne est une tendance à long terme qui évolue radicalement. Des domaines tels que la santé, l’emploi et la sécurité sociale sont redéfinis selon les changements démographiques et la notion émergente de la « silver économie ». Cette tendance a également un impact considérable sur l’augmentation de la demande touristique afin que le secteur soit confronté à une redéfinition de ses produits, services et activités. Selon Eurostat, en 2015, les touristes de 55 à 65 ans représentaient 15,3% du marché touristique total et les 65 ans ou plus représentaient 17,7%. Le tourisme senior englobe diverses activités économiques telles que les agences de voyages, les bureaux d’information touristique, le divertissement, les transports, le patrimoine culturel et la santé et le bien-être, toutes les activités qui complètent une approche intégrée pour le tourisme senior.

Le projet Silver Tourism vise à fournir la formation nécessaire au secteur du tourisme pour profiter des opportunités créées par la tendance démographique, en développant des produits et services adaptés aux besoins réels des personnes âgées, générant un profil d’expert en tourisme senior. L’expert en tourisme senior sera formé dans le cadre d’une approche multidisciplinaire, offrant une vision globale qui permet le développement de produits touristiques concurrentiels, la mise en place du public supérieur au centre du processus et la fourniture de services qui lui procurent des expériences réussies.

🧊 Glaciers matter for water, food and livelihoods in mountains and beyond. This is what we are highlighting this year on 11 December, International Mountain Day.Every year, this day provides an opportunity to emphasise the crucial importance of these areas in terms of natural resources, biodiversity, identity, cultural heritage, ways of life, and more resilient models.
