Mountain walk in the Aragon Region (Spain): discover how Cohesion Policy supports Anabel

In the Aragon (Region), entrepreneurs can benefit from numerous opportunities thanks to the European Cohesion Policy. Anabel is an imaginary character created by Montana174 project, whose intention is to showcase real projects financed by the 2014-2020 Cohesion Policy for entrepreneurs in mountain areas.

Discover with her from what initiatives local citizens can benefit in her mountain area:

1. Terpyme: helping entrepreneurs with new technologies

Training on online marketing and digital sales was organised for 12 small entrepreneurs in the Province of Teruel. Entrepreneurs were trained on how to increase their business flow thanks to new technologies, as well as on how to use them to increase their sales and disseminate the existence of their products on a wider scale.

2. SMART FINANCE

The SMART FINANCE project aims to facilitate the access to finance for local businesses and microentrepreneurs, by providing key information on as alternative financing, personalized advice, monitoring and training. To this end, the SMART FINANCE created a platform that brings together all the key players in the financial system in in different regions of Spain, Portugal, France and Andorra and it identifies these sources of finance for companies.

3. Boosting the SILVER economy in rural mountain regions

In the Province of Teruel, the SILVER SMEs project organised a workshop on the market opportunities arising from the silver economy for mountain businesses. This workshop involved different stakeholders from the Aragon Region and other mountain regions of Europe. It is part of a bigger set of activities, whose aim is to develop a strategy to boost the economic opportunities linked to the silver economy sector in mountains. Local entrepreneurs can take advantage from this niche market to launch their business idea.
