Innovation & Cultural Heritage: how innovation can enhance cultural heritage in Europe

2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage. With the aim of encouraging more people to discover and engage with Europe’s cultural heritage, the European institutions will organise throughout the year events focusing on cultural heritage. Within this context, on 20 March 2018, DG Research and Innovation, in close cooperation with DG Education and Culture and DG Connect organised a conference on Innovation and Cultural Heritage in Brussels. Bringing together policy makers and a diverse range of researchers from the fields of science, technology, archaeology, social sciences and humanities, this conference presented the dialogue between contemporary European society and the most promising innovations in the field of Cultural Heritage.
