Long awaited Rural toolkit launched on 6 February

Conceived as a key component of Europe’s Long Term Vision for Rural Areas, the Rural Toolkit was officially launched on 6 February. The Rural Toolkit was developed by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, with the aim to “provide a comprehensive guide to funding and support opportunities for rural areas”.

In practice, the Rural Toolkit platform provides tow main types of content, corresponding to two use cases. First, the “Funding Finder” section of the portal gives an overview of all funding opportunities available to rural areas, with an advanced system of filters allowing users to narrow their search based on the type of activity, the type of beneficiary, and the type of support. For each funding opportunity, the platform provides all relevant details, including examples of projects and links to the official programme pages. Another section of the platform enables users to explore practical examples, case studies and inspiring stories.

The Rural Toolkit is available in all EU languages. Please give it a try and don’t hesitate to send us your feedback !
