In December 2015, Euromontana welcomed a new member: Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia. ย Heart of Slovenia, is a development agency from Litija, connecting 10 municipalities east from the capital city Ljubljana. In cooperation with numerous local, regional, national and European partners, their mission is to elaborate projects to improve the life quality of the people in the region. The Heart of Slovenia counts with a young and experienced team, all of them excellently interconnected professionals that assume a key role in the organiasation’s development fields.
Heart of Slovenia is ย part of international partnerships with almost 200 organisations from 33 European countries. So far they participated in 23 international projects on programmes like Alpine Space, Central Europe, MED, South East Europe, Interreg IVC, Lifelong Learning, Intelligent Energy Europe, Europe for Citizens, Horizon 2020 and others.
Among their fields of interest are: tourism, entrepreneurship, craftsmenship, self-sufficient local food systems, active ageing, sustainable mobility etc.
