Euromontana celebrated its twentieth anniversary during the X European Mountain Convention in Bragança, Portugal. Euromontana was founded in 1996, during the March 4th Executive Board meeting.
At the 20th anniversary celebration, the first President and the first Delegate General of Euromontana, Robert Duclos and Annie Benarous, spoke of the earliest days of the association and expressed their best wishes for the upcoming 20 years. The current President, Juanan Gutierrez, and two former Presidents, Frank Gaskell and André Marcon, spoke to the audience about the highlights of their presidential mandates and encouraged Euromontana to continue its hard work.
