3rd Interreg Alpine Space call is launched

A new Interreg Alpine Space call was recently launched and will close on 28 June 2017, at 02:00 PM. Mid-October, the programme committee will decide which proposals to invite for the second step of the application process. The final selection of new projects will take place at the end of April 2018.

Interreg Alpine Space a European Union funding programme that encourages transnational cooperation beyond borders in the seven Alpine countries. The programme is financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as well as through national public and private co-funding of the Partner States. In the current programming period, 2014–2020, the programme is investing €139 million in projects through which key actors develop shared solutions for prevalent Alpine issues. The ERDF co-financing rate is of 85% for partners from Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Slovenia.

Funding priorities are the following:

  • Innovative priority: services of general interest, knowledge transfer, eco-innovation, smart businesses
  • Low-carbon priority: mobility, transport, energy efficiency, modal shift
  • Liveable priority: biodiversity, ecosystem services, cultural & natural heritage, natural risk management
  • Well-governed priority: participation, governance, voices, multilevel, policy instruments

Within the four priority axes, project partners from all governance levels realise outputs with a focus on policy-learning, pilot actions and pilot investments. The programme addresses public authorities on national, regional and local level, institutions of higher education, as well as enterprises, business support organisations, NGOs and associations.

For more information such as the timeline, the terms of reference, the contact points, the application process, etc. please visit the Interreg Alpine Space website. Several information days will be organised in the different eligible countries (see the calendar for more details)
