The AGRI committee of the European Parliament has voted on January 23 and 24 2013 on the 8000 amendments initially submitted. The last months have been particularly occupied in trying to reach compromise to elaborate the Parliament’s mandate for negotiation with the Council.
The press release published by the Parliament recaps the main structuring elements of the position adopted by the Parliament. A consolidated report with amendments which have finally been voted should be made available in the coming days. The parliament will then examine the report in its plenary session in March, provided a financial agreement be reached on February 7 and 8.
