In the small Norwegian villages, many of the old farms were unoccupied while new generations of young people were seeking to move outside the cities and to rent them.
The project “Light in the Window” developed in the county of Buskerud had as object the identification of vacant houses in the mountain villages and their location to people who wanted to settle there. This action has been identified as good practice in project PADIMA and is detailed here.
