Reports by the Regional Innovation Monitor (2012) and by the ESPON project ‘Knowledge Innovation Territory’ have analysed the situation of each European region with regards to the innovation process and to innovation priorities. On the basis of both reports, useful information about the development and priorities of mountain regions in terms of innovation can be extracted.
