Expo Milan 2015, Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life has opened its doors not only to people but also to mountains

Under the title of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, from the 1st May until 31st October 2015, Milan will be the place to meet all the experts from over 140 countries discussing about the tools to face two crucial needs: on the one hand, being able to guarantee healthy, safe and enough food for everyone and on the other hand, ensuring a sustainable and respectful growth for the Planet.

Several events will focus on mountain areas, in particular the Mountain Week will be organized from the 4th to 11th June 2015. This Mountain week is being organised by the governments of mountainous countries, the secretariats of the Alpine Convention and Carpathian Convention and other organisations that belong to the Mountain Partnership. This Mountain week aims to promote sustainable mountain development and the products yielded in mountainous areas. The main topics that will be discussed in this event are: food and water supplies, the possibility of increasing food safety and future and sustainability always with a mountain approach.

As Euromontana is also participating in this Mountain week we will keep you updated about all the relevant information in the coming days.

For more information, please visit the Expo Milan 2015 website or contact the Secretariat of Euromontana.
