ADEPT Transylvania rewarded for innovative communication at CAP awards 2013

ADEPT Transylvania, one of the Euromontana members acting in the field of sustainable development in Romania, won the ‘Best CAP communication award’ in the category “Innovative communication” at the CAP Communication Awards 2013 organised by the European Commission.

ADEPT Transylvania has be rewarded for its numerous activities that they have been carrying out in the South-East of Transylvania and in particular that which aims at facilitating access of small family farmers of less than 10 hectares to information on CAP opportunities. The information, considered as very complicated, is simplified and sent through SMS to more than one million farmers, who for most of them have no access to the internet, using a simple software. Entitled “SMSFF” (SMS family farms), the initiative is simple and transferable.

Information, videos and explanations on SMSFF on ADEPT website.

Descriptions through the PDF factsheet prepared for the awards 2013.

Our warm congratulations to ADEPT Transylvania!

Through these activities, they have helped farmers to access to European funds and they have trained farmers to improve the quality of the milk they produced. Furthermore, they have held several fairs and farmers markets in urban areas promoting local small producers.

Congratulations ADEPT Transylvania!
