Being young in a mountain area in 2021 – take the survey!

Are you young? Are you interested in mountain areas? Yes? Then, your opinion matters to us! We need you so that we can better assess the wishes and challenges for young people (18-29 years old) living in mountain areas across Europe.

Young people, can you fulfil your aspirations by staying in the mountains? Or by leaving to better come back, enriched by your skills and experience? What are the sectors that attract you? What are the obstacles that slow down those who want to settle in the mountains or those who want to stay in the mountains?

10 years after its first study, Euromontana, the European Association of Mountain areas and its members, in collaboration with UNITA project launches a survey to better understand youth aspirations and see the changes.

This survey is composed of a maximum of 25 questions depending on your answers (with 4 open questions and 21 tick-the-box questions) that can easily and quickly be answered. It is available in English, French, Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Portuguese, Italian, Slovenian, Greek, RomanianPolish and Norwegian.

The results of the survey will be available in Autumn 2021 and will be used to feed Euromontana’s conference on young people as well as as its European Mountain Convention on “Smart Mountains” in October 2022 in Italy, aimed to think about the future we want in our mountain areas.

Don’t hesitate to participate and share this survey. Your voice matters!
