One of the political priorities nowadays, at a global level, is tackling climate change. The debate on where are the limits of growth, natural resources, pollution, energy and sustainability in addition to new demographic challenges are key issues for development. As such, the European Commission has devoted three sessions to climate change mitigation in the European Development Days held on the 3rd and 4th June 2015 in Brussels. This article aims at summarizing the main interventions made about this topic as well as at including a reflection about the role of mountains concerning climate change.
