Conference: “Digital Agenda for Europe: what role for regions and cities?”

The Committee of the Regions organised the fifth of its series of seven events on flagships initiatives related to EU 2020 strategies. The event took place on July 2nd in Brussels and was themed around the “Digital Agenda for Europe: what role for regions and cities?” The objective of the day was to review the objectives of the Digital agenda for Europe and to identify the role of regional and local governments can play in its implementation. Attended by more than 200 experts, the conference took stock of the local and regional impact of the Digital Agenda and discussed three aspects: Developing digital strategies at regional and interregional level, Digital entrepreneurship and e-government and e-participation.
