Dramatic biodiversity trends, including in mountain areas: The most recent scientific updates are out

Several publications have caught our eye, notably a study on the implications of the Paris Agreement on climate change for significant biodiversity, the first ever global soil survey  calling for immediate action to counter on soil erosion, a French study on bird population trends in rural areas, and finally a study published in the Nature review by 50 European scientific experts on the accelerated increase in plant species richness on mountain summits linked to global warming. These publications mostly deal with their topic at a large territorial angle but, in this article, we will try and see how the results of the studies relate to mountain ecosystems.
