Euromontana launches a new online platform on Cohesion Policy in the mountains

The new website www.montana174.org is now online! This new multilingual website provides examples of initiatives funded by the 2014-2020 Cohesion Policy in different mountain areas of Europe. From mobility to tourism, youth employment, innovation and adaptation to climate change, this platform provides examples to inspire other mountain territories. They can be discovered through brochures and videos.

The new platform also enables to explore how the new Cohesion Policy is implemented in different mountain territories: the regions of Aragon (Spain), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France), Lombardy (Italy) as well as in Slovenia and Croatia.

Educational factsheets illustrate how these territories are taking advantage of the funds allocated for the period 2021-2027 to meet the challenges faced in the mountains. Concrete examples are to be discovered in these factsheets, such as the interregional programmes dedicated to mountain massifs set-up by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The new platform www.montana174.org is launched as part of Montana174, a communication campaign on Cohesion Policy in the mountains coordinated by Euromontana. Its purpose is to better inform local and regional actors about the benefits of this policy for the development of mountain territories.
