The Mountain Partnership, which secretariat is hosted by FAO, held its 4th Global meeting in Erzurum (Turkey) from 17 to 19 September.
On this occasion, a new strategy was discussed and adopted and a new governance system set in place. A steering committee representative of the membership has been elected with balanced representation of the different continents and different types of organisations.
Euromontana has been elected to represent European civil society organisations. Martin Price, vice-chair of Euromontana represents Euromontana in this new Steering committee. We welcome this new step forward of the MOuntain Partnership.
