European Tourism Indicators System (ETIS): involve mountains in the second pilot phase

ETIS is the European Tourism Indicators System for Sustainable Management at Destination Level. It is a set of 27 core and 40 optional indicators to evaluate and monitor the progress towards a more sustainable management of the touristic destinations. A first pilot phase on 100 destinations has lasted from July 2013 till April 2014.

The European Commission has just launched the new call for expression of interest for the second pilot phase of ETIS which will run from 1st April 2014 to 31 December 2014.

We encourage our members to participate to this initiative in order to see if this ETIS system is well adapted to the specificities of mountain destinations.

You are a touristic destination and you wish to involve your organisation in a more sustainable tourism? You are already monitoring sustainability in your destination or you wish to develop sustainable management? Don’t hesitate to participate and submit your form (quite short and easy to fill in) before 15th March 2014 to test these indicators.
