First PEGASUS workshop in Slovenia: new ways of understanding the role of agriculture and forestry

Image PegasusOn 17 September 2015 in a sunny late summer day, took place the PEGASUS project workshop. The event was organized by University of Ljubljana, the Slovenian project partner. The workshop took place in the Multipurpose Centre for sustainable development of Solcava (picture).  The workshop counted with apron. 20 participants’ coming from public and private sector e.g. policy actors, local authorities, development agencies, universities, NGOs, institutes, farmers. Andreja Borec from the University of Maribor and Board member of Euromontana took part in this workshop. The workshop was divided in two parts. In the first part, the project partners explained the aim and project goals and their expectations on the workshop. The second part, was dedicated to working in world coffee format.  Four groups were organized, each one analysing a particular theme related to public goods and ecosystem services. After long, highly professional and interesting discussions between groups, at the end of the session participants defined results all together and presented some good practice examples.

The workshop ended in late afternoon. Participants left the Solcava Centre satisfied and enthusiastic about further project development.
