Based on the work of DG AGRI’s Agricultural Market Task Force, the European Commission has launched an open consultation to improve the food supply chain in the EU. The consultation focuses on three aspects of that topic: unfair trading practices, market transparency, value-sharing arrangements. The questionnaire is made up of approximatively 26 questions (including 7 open questions) and you can also submit a position paper (maximum 5 pages). You can submit your contribution until 17 November 2017.
The consultation is open to all stakeholders and in particular to: farmers, processors, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, business organisations (including associations, chambers of commerce, etc.), consumers and their representative organisations, non-governmental and civil society organisations, research institutions/think tanks, independent experts, law firms, trade unions, national public authorities, other public institutions.
You will find more information on the consultation here, on the consultation strategy here, and the link to the survey here (available in all the EU languages).
