Join OREKA MENDIAN’s online training on mountain grasslands’ conservation!

On 17 December, as part of the LIFE project OREKA MENDIAN, will be held online a course on “Biodiversity of mountain grasslands and extensive livestock farming”. This training aims to enhance the importance of protected habitats, species of flora and fauna and indigenous breeds linked to this type of environments, as well as to raise awareness on the practices of livestock farmers who contribute to the protection of mountain grasslands.

The course is a repetition of the similar one organised in January 2020 and, due to sanitary reasons, will this time be given online. The training will include, among others, sessions on endangered species in mountain grasslands, on indigenous breeds, on ecosystem services related to livestock breeding and will present some conclusions of the OREKA MENDIAN project on how to improve the conservation and management of mountain grasslands.

More information on the course, programme and registration can be found here.
