The Reading mountains Festival celebrates Alpine literature

The Alpine Convention organises the third edition of the Reading mountain Festival. The event organised on the 11th December, the International Mountain Day, is the occasion to celebrate Alpine literature, languages and culture and to promote Alpine heritage.

The Festival is made of many events that are taking place in cities around Europe and also in Nepal, organised by over 100 partners around the Alps, such as stakeholders, schools, libraries, individuals, etc.

The Reading mountains Festival is also a way to connect people despite them being physically apart. Book lovers and authors, mountaineers and artists throughout the Alps (and beyond) can discuss similar issues and evaluate the meaning, impact and purpose of Alpine literature.
