Territorial development: potentials and challenges for Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein

On the eve of a strategic meeting of the ESPON monitoring committee in which EU Members and ESPON Partner States shall decide about the ambition and funding rules of the ESPON 2020 programme, the four non-EU ESPON Partner States, namely Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Iceland assembled on 11th of March in the Swiss mission to the EU.
Organised by ESPON coordination Unit in cooperation with the Swiss Federal office for spatial development (ARE), the Norwegian Royal ministry of local government and modernisation and the Ministry of industries and innovation of Iceland, the conference addressed the potentials and challenges for territorial development of the ¨Partner States and potential synergies with EU action.
